Robert Upshaw helped the Huskies come from behind to beat the Easter Washington Eagles 81-77 Sunday evening. The Huskies remain undefeated and their rank should improve tomorrow - they are currently ranked 17th.

Upshaw had 21 points, 9 rebounds and 6 blocks.

Gonzaga Loses to Arizona in Overtime

Gonzaga played an impressive game against the #3 Arizona Wildcats in Tucson finally losing 66-63 in overtime. Arizona improves to an 8-0 record and with the first loss of their season, Gonzaga’s record is now 7-1.


The Elf is out of Control

1. At first glance he may look like your average elf: probably from a small town, nice parents, good education.

2. Sure, he’s a bit strange.

3. But nonetheless harmless, right??

5. It all started when a couple of Barbies denied Elf on the Shelf’s Christmas offering.

6. The rejection stung and the once jolly Christmas elf was left with nothing but a deep, unguided anger.

7. He became reclusive — spending most of his time alone, drinking and chain-smoking, wondering about his real purpose on Earth.

8. It wasn’t long before his behavior began to spiral out of control.

9. Every night was a new blackout, a new horror.

10. Things he once loved turned into things he hated.

Gonzaga Over SELA

The Gonzaga Bulldogs came out flat in the first half of the game and went into the locker room at halftime down 33 to 32. They made some adjustments and took the game over and finished with a final score of 76-57. They improve to a record of 7-0 and the next game on Saturday is going to be a good one - at #3 Arizona who is also 7-0.

The Mariners have apparently signed outfielder Nelson Cruz to a 4-year $57M deal! Its too early to get excited about baseball but this is a great piece of news fro the boys in blue!



Sounders FC vs LA Galaxy For MLS Western Conference Championship

8:25pm Update:

Sounders win 2-1 but Galaxy win since they scored 1 more road goal than us in the 2-game series. Got that? The Galaxy will advance to the MLS Championship against the Revolution.

Great season Sounders!





The Seattle Sounders try to win their first MLS Western Conference Championship to advance to the MLS championship by beating the L.A. Galaxy by 2 or more goals tonight at CenturyLink - game at 6:30pm on ESPN. Scarves UP!

Huskies Win 2014 Apple Cup - Final Score 31-13

The game wasn’t really close - the Cougs scored a couple of touchdowns late in the 4th quarter - the first one right after Joey Harrington, who was covering the game for Fox Sports, mentioned that Mike Leach had never been shutout in his career. Leave it to a freakin’ Duck to open his yap.





I’m going to miss watching Danny Shelton play on Saturdays - during the game tonight, he did a barrel roll on the line before the snap and got a sack!

Washington Huskies Over Long Beach State in Wooden Classic

The Huskies best Long Beach State 80-70 and will play for the championship of the 2014 Wooden Classic on Sunday when they face UTEP. The Huskies are 5-0 for the first time in 5 years. Robert Upshaw has 13 blocks in the last two games and is a game-changer. Long Beach State is a really good team - the Huskies had to come from behind for the win tonight which has been a rare occurrence the past few years and was good to see.

The game championship game is at 7pm PST Sunday on ESPN2.







Gonzaga Wins NIT Season Tip-Off Classic

The Gonzaga Bulldogs hung on to beat St. Johns 73-66 in the NIT Tip-Off Classic in Madison Square Garden. The 10th ranked Bulldogs improve to a 6-0 on the season and look good. I’ve watched the last two games and I’m very impressed with freshman Domantas Sabonis who is the son of Arvidas Sabonis the former NBA center for the Portland Trailblazers.




A Great Thanksgiving - A Great Win

We enjoyed a great Thanksgiving yesterday with family and friends and topped the day off with the Seahawks taking care of business in Santa Clara against the 49ers.
