Seahawks Get Win Number 10

Well, it wasn't pretty but Seattle managed to win their regular season finale against the Arizona Cardinals with a game-winning field goal by Seabass as time expired. Seattle finishes the regular season with a 10 and 6 record which is five more wins than I thought they would end up with after the amount of roster changes in the off-season.

Wild Card game at Dallas on Saturday - it will be the 12th anniversary of this...

Where Have You Been - WTF?

Ahhh - need to get better at putting some update here. What can I say? It's been a busy year so far. Here are some things that are either funny or interesting to me that have happened in the last week or so. Headed to Chicago tomorrow for a couple of days.

Kicking Off 2018

Well, 2018 arrived faster than I expected. The end of the year always brings a flurry of activites at both home and work. No resolutions for me this year - I've never been a big fan of them. I believe that if there is something in your life that you want to change then start - don't wait until January 1st.

We spent Christmas back in Montana with my paternal grandmother - she turned 93 on January 2nd so we hung around to have a small party for her. She's doing great, still lives on her own but doesn't drive any longer. It was cold there - it got as low as -31F (before the wind chill on New Years Day, so needless to say we didn't spend much time outside this trip.

I've never been able to get in a consistent pattern of writing entries for this blog which is something I'm going to work on this year and make at least one entry a week above and beyond the typical entries following @ZagMBB & @UW_MBB

As far as the NFL goes and SuperBowl 52... I'm rooting for the @Vikings - with the @Seahawks missing the playoffs for the first time in 5 years, I wasn't extremely excited about post-season football but there have been some really good games and it would be cool to see Minnesota win it all in their beautiful new stadium!

Seahawks Beat the Rams 16-10 in L.A.

Well the offense played very well today the Rams could move the ball pretty well until they got to the Red Zone and the Seahawks were near perfect after the Rams' initial drive. The offense still isn't clicking too well but the Rams' defense is no slouch - it was good to get the win on the road in LA.

Seahawks Lose to Tampa 14-5

I didn't see much of this one due to other priorities this afternoon but it sounded like the O-line was very ineffective and Tampa did a good job of neutralizing Baldwin and Graham most of the game.

Gregg Bell (@gbellseattle) (Seahawks beat writer for the Tacoma News Tribune) sums it up best with this tweet:

Seahawks Over the Falcons

Well the game was a tail of two halves. Seattle looked like they had this game in hand at half-time but you knew Atlanta would regroup, make adjustments and make a game out of it.

Two blown coverages in the Seattle seconday later and the game was tied. Coupled with a blocked extra point and a missed field goal and it got very interesting. The Flacons had to go for it on 4th down with a little over a minute left to play and Sherman got away with a Pass Interference call - Atlanta got away with at least one of their own earlier in the game.

Seahawks are 4-1 leading the NFC West and look to next week with a game at Arizona.
